CONFUSING WORDS FROM SPANISH TO GERMAN. How do you spell "encontrarse" in German?
Well, properly speaking, this is the first entry on this blog. More precisely, the first one about Spanish and German. In this case, I'll make a brief comment on the verbs "treffen, sich fühlen, sich beffinden" that may be slightly troublesome for Spanish learners. There is a polysemous verb in Spanish (ENCONTRARSE) that may convey different ideas: 1) RUN INTO or COME ACROSS SOMEONE (encontrarse con alguien) which is TREFFEN in German (treffen+akkusativ) vorgestern hat meine Schwester seine Freundin im Krankenhaus getroffen. 2) MEET UP with somebody (quedar con alguien en un sitio) which is translated into SICH TREFFEN in German.
